Solutions Architect team

Stott + Hoare employs Solutions Architects with extensive product knowledge and the ability to prepare detailed specifications to define product configurations and services for customer Server Virtualisation, Storage Consolidation and Disaster Recovery requirements.

Our Solutions Architects have a multitude of accreditations, continually research new technology and regularly attend technical training courses covering IBM, HP, VMware and other leading brand Server and Storage products.

The Stott + Hoare team has a wide range of specialist skills and capabilities, including:

  • Expert knowledge of Windows/NT/Linux/Unix Networking and VMware.
  • VMware & SAN Consulting, TCP/IP Networking and Security.
  • Advanced knowledge of current Windows based Applications and Solutions and their deployment on VMware and Physical Infrastructure.
  • Design and implementation of High Availability LAN, WAN, SAN, Security and Virtualised Infrastructure on small to enterprise scale projects with a particular focus on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
  • Extensive experience in all VMware offerings including vSphere and Site Recovery Manager.
    Our team has already completed official VMware vSphere 5 Update Training with VMware Trainers.
  • Experience in application development/deployment (single tiered and multi-tiered environments) including IIS and Apache Tomcat web platforms.
  • Capacity planning and risk management.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint and Windows Server administration and deployment.
  • SQL Database administration in both physical and heavily virutalised environments.
  • Remote Access management utilising VPN, Citrix and RDP.

Geoff Bosman - Solutions Architect

Geoff has extensive IBM experience having worked at IBM South Africa for more than 10 years and in the IBM channel at distributors and resellers in South Africa and Australia for a further 8 years. He has pre-sales experience that spans IBM System X, power systems and storage. He also has exposure to HDS and VMware technologies.

Geoff determines the most appropriate products and services for each client’s requirements through a technology assessment and that identifies the best solution. These requirements are then distilled into a list of compatible parts and options that form a basis of the solution offering for the customer.

Geoff is a great resource for our customers to utilise, and can assist you with research on your IT infrastructure projects to make sure you buy the right products to meet your needs.

Graeme has worked in the IT industry for 20 years and has extensive experience with major computer manufacturers in both Europe and Australia.

Having worked with clients ranging from small home-based businesses to large multinational corporations gives Graeme the breadth and depth of experience to deliver solutions to customer problems – from the simple to very complex – across a wide variety of technologies and budgets.
